The name BlueShift Immersive represents multiple levels of meaning to us:

Our planet needs us all to shift to an ocean-friendly mindset. We are dedicated to supporting this Blue Shift.
BlueShift sounds a lot like blueschist, which is founder Louise’s favourite rock (but is much easier to spell)

Tiffany Duong, Ocean Rebels
Tiffany Duong is a seasoned explorer and award-winning storyteller. She holds degrees from UCLA and the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. Inspired by an epic dive trip, she left corporate law to campaign for our planet. Now, she writes, speaks and leads from dense jungles to remote oceans to the changing Arctic. Through her varied work, Tiff gives voice to what’s happening in the natural world to inspire meaningful action and lasting change.
As BlueShift Immersive’s marine partner and lead storyteller, Tiff brings extensive knowledge of marine ecosystems, years of outreach/education/community building experience, and her unwavering passion for the oceans to the work that we do. She credits the seas with saving her and has since dedicated her life to doing all she can to protect our blue planet.
Three Otters Media
Three Otters Media is a female-founded XR development studio that creates digital worlds to give our physical one a fighting chance. Found in the Fjords, their award-winning freshman effort, is a virtual reality game that allows players to embody Nora, a baby Orca in arctic Norway. Through gamified learning, players come to understand Nora’s world and the many challenges that whales face. FitF won top prize at the prestigious, inaugural Metaverse for the SDGs competition and has won and been shown in several film festivals.
TOM and BlueShift Immersive collaborate to produce XR experiences like FitF, educational workshops (including VR storytelling), and other tech-forward, environmental initiatives.
The Seabirds Foundation
The Seabirds are a team of female explorers providing access and resources to citizen scientists interested in helping combat the growing marine and climate crises. They “Teach. Reach. Explore.” to help nontraditional explorers and the next generation find their voices and power within exploration and science.
BlueShift Immersive partners with the Seabirds to build virtual reality campuses based on real expedition data and media. Each unique location traveled to becomes a different experience (or two or more) within the larger campus, allowing for seamless movement around the digital planet to explore, play, learn, and grow.
